Six parts, top to bottom
The Anatomy of What This Site Knows
This site explains a chimney as six parts, each with its own way of failing. Its privacy notice is built the same way: six parts, each with what it holds and what it is for.

The whole inventory
- Request form
- Your full name, the best number, where the chimney is, which symptom you picked, and the details box for the age of the house, wood or gas, and what you have noticed. The form arrives in our inbox and is forwarded to a single Lexington chimney and masonry firm, independent of this site, which makes the phone call and plans the visit; the firm may pay this site a referral fee. Your request reaches that firm only and goes on no list.
- Phone line
- The line at (859) 493-8726 may record the call and produce a transcript, so the stain, the flaking and the year the house was built reach the written scope as you described them, and so the handling of the call can be looked at afterward. Kentucky's rule needs one consenting party on the line, and on this line that is us. Skip the recording by using the form instead; the mason who receives it contacts you directly, with nothing recorded.
- Two counters
- Google Analytics keeps count of visits, of pages read and of phone-link taps, with its own cookies telling visitors apart. Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps a page-view count and nothing more, cookie-free. Their purpose is to say whether the pages are useful; neither is turned into advertising.
- Job photos
- Photos of the stack before, during and after the work are worth asking the mason for. They belong to the job, and this site does not post them.
- Never
- Bank details, card numbers, logins, passwords: none of these is ever asked for, since no payment passes through this website; the mason is paid when the work is done. Hosting these pages and carrying the phone line each generate routine technical logs, held by those providers under their own policies.
- Corrections
- Ring the number, or answer the email your request generated. Done.
